Over 3.7 million
school-aged children lack access to learning in Myanmar.

In Myanmar, poverty and lack of education trap many children in a cycle that's hard to escape.

Civil war, political instability, food or shelter insecurities and school closures mean many children are forced into child labour. More than 1.5 million children have dropped out of school since the 2021 military coup.

Without education, they face fewer job opportunities, keeping them in poverty and continuing the cycle for the next generation.

We have a chance to break the poverty cycle that entrenches too many in Myanmar.

How we work

At Life Bridge Builders (LBB), we help children in Myanmar access essentials every child deserves:

  • education,

  • nutritious food,

  • clean water and

  • safe shelter.

With your support, we provide school supplies and basic necessities to children who might otherwise go without.

Child sponsorship opens the door to a brighter future, giving children the tools and confidence to build a better life.

We help students stay in school by easing the financial pressure through school supplies, uniforms, and tuition support. We give children the chance to complete their education and break the cycle of poverty.
